Telehouse Bangkok, a purpose-built, carrier-neutral interconnection data center operated by Telehouse Thailand, has proudly welcomed BKNIX and JPIX as its first neutral Internet Exchange partners. This development opens up new possibilities for organizations seeking secure collocation and seamless connectivity to the internet.
The recently inaugurated BKNIX Point of Presence (PoP) marks a pioneering milestone as the inaugural Internet Exchange Point (IXP) at Telehouse Bangkok. This addition enhances the peering environment, fostering seamless, efficient exchange traffic among members. Furthermore, it empowers the peering community not only within Bangkok,but also between Bangkok and Tokyo, thanks to JPIX remote peering service.

JPIX has started IX service in 1997 as Japan's first commercial Internet exchange (IX) service that provides a reliable network traffic exchange platform to different players such as ISPs, CATV operators, NSPs, content providers, CDNs, cloud providers, media providers. JPIX is one of the largest Japanese IX services in terms of client numbers, forming a core part of Japan’s Internet backbone with its high-quality service.
JPIX is now connecting with more than 250 AS including major ISPs, CATVs and CSPs. JPIX has 8 sites in metropolitan Tokyo, 1 site in Nagoya, 5 sites in Osaka, 1 site in Fukuoka and 1 site in Okinawa. On July 10th, 2022, JPIX celebrated its 25th anniversary. JPIX will keep sustaining the Internet backbones hereafter.
